New patients: Please book a 60 minute Initial Assessment and 2-3 follow up appointments 1-2 weeks apart to ensure you get your preferred appointment times. Your follow-ups can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on how much time you prefer. If you have multiple areas to address or a more complex injury please choose a 45 or 60 minute appointment time as 30 minutes will likely not be enough time.

Your appointment time is held specially for you and this time is all about optimizing your physical health. If you need to cancel or change any of your appointments as things do come up in life, 24 hours notice is required.

Kinesiology

Kinesiologists are exercise specialists who assess the body from a movement perspective. They provide movement based sessions to help you maintain, rehabilitate, or enhance your movement. Sessions include a mix of stretching, strengthening and mobility work which can be on the mat, or with the Pilates or gym equipment

Clinical Mentorship

Small group learning sessions of 1-4 participants that are tailored to the interests of the participants.

Rachel began her journey in kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science, completing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Fraser Valley in 2023. From an early age, she was immersed in sports, passionately engaging in seven different team sports, including soccer, softball, rugby, and basketball. Her dedication eventually led her to compete in basketball at the PACWEST level, though it was rugby that captured her heart, prompting a permanent switch to the sport.

Rachel’s commitment to rugby saw her competing at both regional and provincial levels, where she gained firsthand experience with the demands of training and the challenges of recovery.

These experiences, along with a personal understanding of injury, sparked Rachel’s interest in a career focused on health promotion. Her approach is driven by a desire to help others navigate their own health journeys with confidence and resilience. Outside of her work, Rachel enjoys connecting with friends, exploring the outdoors, and unwinding with a good board game.

Megan completed her Master of Health Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa. Prior, she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science honours in Biomedical Sciences.

She has continued to add to her skillset by completing her Level 1& 2 Manual Therapy courses. She is certified with Anatomical IntraMuscular Stimulation to provide dry needling. She graduated from the clinical mentorship program in Integrated Systems Model under Diane Lee. She has completed visceral manipulation Level 1 and is continuously furthering her education.

She aims to foster her values of humour, kindness, respect, connection, learning and growth within her clinical practice. She assesses and treats by considering the whole body as it relates to your concerns. Megan carries a wealth of empathy from a patient perspective as she has worked hard to rehabilitate her own multiple sports injuries and surgeries; this has allowed her to continue to compete in powerlifting at the Canadian National level. When not in the gym, Megan is most likely exploring a new trail in the woods, curled up with a book, or looking for new recipes.

Susannah is the founder and owner of At Ease Physiotherapy. She has university degrees in Kinesiology and Physiotherapy as well as extensive post graduate training. Susannah earned her undergraduate Kinesiology degree in 2014 from UBC and her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2018 in Melbourne, Australia. With a special interest in injury recovery, digestive health, brain health, and nervous system function, Susannah has spent the past 6 years pursuing advanced training through the Barral, Upledger, and Chikly Institutes and Applied Neurology.

Susannah’s treatment approach is unique, integrating gentle, hands-on techniques, acupuncture, dry needling and applied neurology based movement practices to help retrain the brain and transform how individuals move through their daily lives. Having grown up with multiple sports injuries, concussions, and digestive issues, Susannah is deeply committed to learning as much as possible about the body and empowering others with that knowledge.

While traditional physiotherapy excels at addressing muscles, ligaments, joints, and bones, Susannah recognizes that it often overlooks the nerve, blood vessel, lymphatic, and organ systems on a structural level and most importantly the nervous system integration itself. These deeper systems are critical to survival and are often at the root of what muscles are protecting. By going beyond surface-level treatment and addressing these essential systems, Susannah achieves more lasting results, tapping into the nervous system’s innate intelligence to self-correct and heal.

Outside of work, Susannah can be found training Olympic weightlifting movements like the snatch, clean and jerk, or squat at the gym. She also enjoys walking, skiing, Pilates, salsa dancing, and yoga.

Larissa studied at the University of British Columbia for both her Bachelors degree in Science (2007) and Masters degree in Physical Therapy (2009).

Larissa was exposed to Physiotherapy at a young age and was immediately intrigued by the profession. Through her own injuries, she has developed a deep sense of empathy, compassion, and comprehensive knowledge base that comes from being both a patient and a therapist. She continues to prioritize life-long learning and is continuing to expand her knowledge in visceral and craniosacral techniques, neuro-movement retraining, and the Autonomic Nervous System.

Larissa is passionate about moving our profession forward and creating advanced courses. Larissa is a lead instructor trainer with Calibrate Clinical Pilates Education. As well, she is working with West Coast Injection Training to develop an ultrasound- guided dry needling course for Physiotherapists. Larissa truly loves to embark on any opportunity to collaborate with and learn from others.

Larissa is devoted to creating a safe healing space for your mind and body. She uses her skills to assess and treat the whole person and is very keen on making sure that the patient understands and is part of the treatment process the entire way through. She uses her strong intuition and vast experience to help her patients optimize their functional health. Larissa’s recipe for healing includes a dash of manual therapy and fascial release, a teaspoon or so of IMS/Acupuncture, a heavy pour of movement therapy and habit retraining, and a large drizzle of education and body awareness over top.

Larissa and her husband moved to South Surrey recently in order to be closer to their wonderful family. She also has a young daughter and enjoys exploring the world through her eyes – and keeping up with her!
